Internship report

I. Purpose

To us university graduates, practice training is a necessary stage before we enter the society. It gives us a better understanding of the society; as a result, we can learn a lot which never appear in the university class. On one hand, we can consolidate our knowledge through practice. On the other hand, internship allows us to enlarge our views and increase our knowledge, which will help lay a solid foundation for our future work.

II. Content

After more than two years of acquiring knowledge in college, I feel completely like practicing what I have learned and luckily this year I got a chance to practice teaching English. I made my practice in the No.12 Middle School in Nan yang. On the first day, Mrs. Liu showed me around the school and gave me a brief introduction of the current situation of the school and some matters requiring attention during the practice. Then I was assigned to a claof grade 1 where Mrs. Liu was the head teacher. She told me the basic situation of the class. The first day I was just familiar with the campus, yet the next day, I would go to the classroom and face more than 60 students. On realizing of that, I could not help being nervous.

Practice teacher is a very special status. I still remember the first time I was called teacher. At the beginning, I felt happy but also a little startled, then I gradually adapted to it, finally I comfortably responded and nodded. In the first week, I grew used to the school life as if returning to my high school. However, my status changed from a student to a teacher, and I inspired myself as a teacher who was going to gave all her knowledge to her students. In the past, the "high above" teachers suddenly became the "colleagues". To tell the truth, this kind of feeling was very strange and fresh. As a practice teacher, in what manner should I face the high school students? So in the practice training, identity change may be the first ridge to cross. It is very significant to correctly understand the identity: student of the head teacher and teacher of the students.

Mrs. Lius clawas a science class. I was a little shocked that the science clawas not as boring as that in my day. Just as Mrs. Liu said, the teacher was happy and worried; after all, too many naughty students were not easy to control. The students were very lively, and we quickly established a good relationship. We talked about other students, daily chores, and even some students would come to me to answer questions.

1) Lectures

Listening to other teachers clais a necessary step. Through lectures, I could not only learn of the teaching methods, but also familiarize myself to the class. Despite I had learned the teaching materials; however, there were new changes in the teaching

requirements. Because of the different teachers, teaching methods were very different. Mrs. Liu was a very strict, and she was always making a sufficient preparation. The first claI listened to left a deep impression on me. The whole clawas planned almost perfectly, and the students could know the content of this clato be completed. Whats more, the time was fully made use of and precisely controlled. Only talking on paper was absolutely not enough, and the real feeling of sitting in the back of the clawas very different. Even if the contents of teaching were the same, the ways were undoubtedly different, such as allowing students to answer questions, or combining with exercise to deepen the impression. Moreover, it is necessary to pay some attention to those who were not concentrating on the claby the means of appropriately asking them questions so as to allow them to focus. Further more, writing on the blackboard should be arranged easily to see. These were very difficult to learn from books. In addition to those mentioned above, on a class, just "Sit down, please” should be said dozens of times. It taught me a lesson that the content of teaching was important, yet respect between students and teachers was also worth great attention.

2) Lesson preparation

English Teaching and Research Group in this school had a good tradition, which was a lesson preparation. It was more like a discussion of ways to teach than a lesson preparation, such as how to better mobilize the enthusiasm of the students. A series of work should be done for preparation: vocabulary of the units, requested

words and phrases of the text, easily confusing words and fixed terms, translation exercise associated with important words and so on. Mrs. Liu helped me sort out the whole article, explained which was necessary and taught me more teaching methods, which was really a treasure to me. “To be a teacher was not easy”, I said to myself for another time. Just at the lesson preparation time, it was essential to take all the aspects into account, for example, whether students would accept, whether the clawould be boring and so on.

3) Lesson plans

Lesson plans were a main event of the pre-teaching. Mrs. Liu let us refer to her lesson plans. To my great surprise, there was a 12-page lesson plan for a simple section. In case of forgetting what I would say, I wrote all the conjunctions I wanted to use during the teaching on the lesson plans. I fought for a few nights, not for excellence but at least well-prepared.

4) Teaching

Before formal teaching, I went on several test teaching for my friends. Obviously, I gained a lot of confidence, which may also owe to full preparation. I planned to use PPT teaching to enhance the interest of the students.

5) My classmate's class

Before my teaching, I attended some of my classmates classes. As the classes were different, some classes were livelier, and some were quiet. Every classmate teaching contents and ways were too far apart, so I could learn a lot from everyone. Particularly, listening to

other classmates classes and comparing with my own class, I summed up the advantages and disadvantages, which contributed a lot to the course of the next class.

6) My own classes

Before the official class, I considered carefully about many things. I had never faced more than 60 students before, so how high voice, what kind of position and what style of blackboard writing were appropriate? With the date of my official clawas coming near, the tension was also becoming more and more serious. I knew that how to eliminate the tension had become the most important that time. More than sixty eyes stared at me. At that time, I was stressed out. Ten minutes later, I gradually relaxed and gave the lesson calmly. I tried my best to make the claproceed smoothly: offering the outline of each unit in the book, underlining the language focus and major points, answering the questions and assigning the homework. All the students were completely involved in the class. The clawas gone with the PPT. PPT teaching may be another reason, for most students had focused their attention on the screen. After the class, Mrs. Liu spoke highly of me, and it undoubtedly gave me great confidence. She also gave me many suggestions. Just as the saying goes, practice makes perfect, and the following classes were easier for me.

III. Gains

Lethan four weeks teaching practice is neither too long nor

too short. I keep doing all I can to finish my work not only for the students but also for myself. As for myself, I take this experience as a beginning of my future studying and working. Thanks to this practice, I have learned a lot of things: not only the teaching methods and teaching experience, but also the responsibility and obligation of a teacher. Teachers are a group of hard-working bees, making solid foundation for the construction of the country. The knowledge and skills I acquired at school is not enough when I get to work. Opportunity only goes to those who are already prepared. I think from now on I will be very glad to get challenged at all the times, and I will never forget this practice which will be a valuable life experience to me. Though my one-month practicing teaching is over, my striving after my ideal will never stop!

IV. Problems and Solutions

Through this internship, I also summarize several suggestions about education, just as the following:

First of all, interest is very important to a student. So as a teacher, it is necessary to motivate the students' interest in learning so as to make them take an active part in the study happily. In class, students should be the center instead of the teacher. The Teacher should pay more attention to their learning initiative and enthusiasm, and change the teaching mode from "Im made to learn" into "I want to learn".

Second, the teacher must have enough patience to make the

students correct faults. Whats more, the teacher should try her best to create a kind of democracy and harmonious teaching atmosphere, establish an equal teacher-student relationship in the teaching activities and regard herself as a member of the activities.

Third, the teacher should notice to encourage her students. As a rule, if they get the teachers praise, their enthusiasm will improve, and the atmosphere of the clawill become active. As a result, it will play a very good teaching effect.

Fourth, reflects of the students to lecture are different, so it is essential to exchange ideas with the students and understand exactly what they need.

实习是大学教育的一个极为重要的实践性教学环节,教学实习则是其中的基础学科、人文社会学科和师范学科各专业的一种不可或缺的形式,而英语专业作为上述专业的一部分,教学实习自然不可或缺。此次英语教学实习,也是西安工业大学外国语学院教学工作的一个重要组成部分。通过这次教学实习,我们接触到了与英语教育相关的实际工作,增强感性认识,培养和锻炼了我们综合运用所学的英语专业知识,提高了我们的实践动手能力和团队协作能力。同时,鉴于人民教师作为诸多大学生所向往的职业之一,且成为教师也是英语专业学生的一个重要的就业途径,教学实习对于我们来说有着重要意义,是我们积累教师经验,体会教师经历,更是为毕业后走上工作岗位打下一定的基础的绝佳机会。

2016年下半学期十二周至十五周,我作为教学实习小组的成员,进行了为期四个星期的教学实习。此次教学实习的基本内容包括两部分:课堂教学、听课观摩。在王甜老师的指导之下,我们组较好地完成了教育实习任务。在这段时间我收获了很多也成长了很多近一个月的实习让我体会到当老师的乐趣当了近十几年学生第一次转换了角色以一名老师的身份去实习、去体验任务不同了视角不同了因此感受也不同了。通过这四周的实习,我深深体会到了将理论与实践结合起来的不易,也通过这四周的努力,使我熟悉了从事教师行业的不易。 前两周我们以听课为主为了能更好的适应学生教育环境我们认真听课记好笔记并即时和指导老师沟通反复推敲老师教案认真熟悉教材听课实习的必经阶段,听课不仅能够学习拥有教学经验的老师的教学方法,也能熟悉如果以后能的成为英语教师所要面对的情况。高中阶段的英语课程与大学里大不相同,现在的课本经过了改革,所以现在的教学要求也有新的变化,教学方法上有很大差异。王老师教学状态相当严谨,备课很充分,每个部分都用不同的形式上课,都有很多值得我学习的地方。

在经过两周的听课实习后,王老师决定让我们走上讲台为大一的学生讲课。11月26日周一上午午我第一次正式登上了讲台上课前我感到非常紧张紧张的介绍完自己深呼吸了好几次终于调整好了自己的情绪开始讲起课来我按照我的教学计划逐步进行着内容同学们也很配合他们的积极参与让课堂十分有趣我便充分放松了自己大胆的讲起课来最后由于时间没有把握好准备的

内容并没有讲完课后王老师评价说我讲的挺好我的搭档也说挺好这无疑给了我极大的自信她也给了我很多建议。

结合指导老师、实习老师、同学们的意见以及自己的思考,我对自己此次英语课堂教学优缺点做如下总结;

1. 课堂流程整体把握不错,上课有章法。

2. 课堂上教态自然,教学耐心;常微笑,常鼓励学生;对学生一视同仁,平等对待。

3. 讲解知识点的同时,能注意学生能力、策略、情感及态度的培养。

4. 板书的设计与书写需要提高;课堂举例要有意义,要举经典例句

5. 讲具体的一节课要有重点,要有简明的课堂小结

6. 声音要再洪亮一些,有升降。

7. 对睡觉、玩手机的学生管理应该严厉一些

8. 在讲解知识点时,要按照考试大纲分轻、重。

此次教学实习,总的来说,我做到了认真备课,所设计的教案规范准确,以及与小组成员的团队协作。课堂教学中,教学效果好,教学内容能当堂消化、巩固,教学重点突出,明确,能够顺利地完成教学任务。同时,通过指导老师指出的缺点和不足,不断地提升了自己。在实习过程中,我深刻的感受到:上一堂课不困难,但要想上一堂精彩的课是很难的!需要下很大的工夫。我认为,通过此次教学实习,我做到了接触与英语教育相关的实际工作,增强感性认识,培养和锻炼综合运用所学的英语专业知识,提高实践动手能力和团队协作能力,为毕业后走上工作岗位打下一定的基础的目的。

湘潭大学2016级英语专业实习报告

我所在的实习单位是湖南省永州市祁阳县陶铸中学。陶铸中学的前身是公立陶铸中学,是湖南省祁阳县一所具有69年办学历史的完全制中学。原名为祁阳三中,1992年为纪念老一阶级革命家陶铸同志又更名为陶铸中学,2003年成功改制为民办中学。经过几年的跨越式发展,陶铸中学现已成为一所集高考补习班、高中部、初中部为一体的现代化校园。学校所获得的荣誉和高考、学考成绩均名列全县同类学校前茅。

我实习的主要内容是英语教学,一共是8节课,以听课为主,讲一节课。我所在的班级是初二1110班,考虑到高中课程紧张,而且高中生心智都比较成熟,怕自己应付不过来,初中课堂比较活跃,上课气氛好过高中课堂,所以选择在初中部实习,教学生英语。10月12号是我实习正式开始的日子,学校给我安排的指导老师是一位教龄已有10年的女教师,陈老师。跟她第一次见面,让我感觉很亲切,随即我就在她的英语课堂上听课了。陶铸中学初中部的课堂课桌摆设不同于一般的面向黑板形式,学生分为8个小组,每个小组6个人,三个三个相对而坐,因此他们是都是侧对黑板的。上课铃响了,我坐在教室后面听课,同学们都注意到了我,我就看到一对对目光向我这边看来。整堂课下来,我就被各个同学轮流看了我一节课。这种情况可以理解,在我中学阶段,班里来了听课老师,我的目光也时不时看下后面的听课老师。而且初中生好奇心更重,对于新鲜事物总是更加感兴趣。第一次听课留给我最深的印象是老师和学生上课互动很好,学生以小组为单位,讨论气氛十分热烈,选代表回答问题是都没有出现你推我让的情形,后来通过和老师交流得知,每个小组的成员都是按顺序来轮流回答问题的,不得推让。我认为这种方式很好,照顾了每一位同学,让学生们上课都有表现,提高了学习的兴趣。初次之外,在课堂教学中陈老师帮学生听写单词的过程也让我有所感想。在学生听写单词的过程中,我发现写一个单词所用的时间每个同学都不一样,我是这样想的,基础好的同学、完成了老师布置的作业的同学肯定是听到单词立马就能写出来的,而那些成绩本来就不好的、又不认真完成作业的同学就低头思忖许久。陈老师上课时帮学生听写的单词作业收上来都给了我,让我给学生修改。在给学生修改单词的过程中,我发现了几个问题:一,学生的音标掌握不牢固,很多单词可以根据音标拼写出来的却不会写;二,用汉语拼音代替了单词的部分拼写,比如把“out”写成了“aot”,这类学生的汉语思维太根深蒂固了;三,不会写的单词故意很潦草的写出来,以为能蒙骗过关,还有就是字迹本来就潦草,没怎么重视字体的训练;四,根本就不会写,老师布置的作业没放在心上。我把发现的问题如实告诉了陈老师,老师说这些情况一直都存在于初中生的英语学习中,有的同学以为英语很难学,在完成作业的过程中受到一点点挫折就放弃了,就不重视英语的学习。解决这些问题关键在于提高学生对英语学习的兴趣。

实习期间,听了陈老师7节课,学生对我的关注也一节课比一节课少,似乎把我当成了他们班上的一员。学生对我的这份信任也有利于我教学工作的开展。听了一周的课,我的实践机会终于到了。10月22日是我人生中的第一堂英语教学课,我带领同学们学习的是新一单元的内容:“How do yo get to school?”。首先是最基础的单词学习,我先用录音机播一遍单词的录音,然后再逐个逐个停顿让学生跟着录音机朗读,按这种方法再重复一遍以加深学生对单词的记忆。之后

离开录音机,学生们集体朗读,其中碰到不会读的或者是读错的单词,我会给学生纠正。直到全班朗读的时候没什么特别突出的大错误,单词学习就结束了。新的内容首先是由书本插图上的对话开始的,这些对话就成了本单元学习的重点句型。我让学生先跟着录音读了两遍书上的句子,再结合所学的单词把句子的意思翻译出来。为了让课堂气氛更加活跃,我选了几组学生上讲台进行对话,然后让下面的学生做评委,看哪组的学生的朗读和表现要好。对话开始,上台的学生都表现很好,我这样做的主要目的是让学生在轻松的氛围里学习,读的多了,听的多了,句子自然就掌握了。接下来是听力的练习。初中课本听力不是很难,因此听力的练习题目完成的很快,最重要的还是要巩固。于是,我让学生听一遍句子再复述一遍,之前听课时见陈老师也是这样做的,学生们习惯了也不会感觉到陌生。反倒是我,可能由于紧张,有时句子没听清除,有时又忘记了,幸亏还有教师用书,不至于在学生面前出错误。根据书上的内容,接下来是小组讨论,用题目中所给的单词造句,主要目的还是加深学生对课文的印象。我给了两分钟的讨论时间,刚要找学生上台做对话,下课铃就响了。既然学生也准备了,也不差那两分钟时间,我还是叫了一组同学上台对话,要求是不拿书本。可能没书本心里没底,学生的对话有点结结巴巴,不过总算是完成了。我的讲课也完成了,这堂课过的真快。

伴随着我的讲课结束,我的实习也要结束了。总结了自己的整个实习过程,发现还有以下不足之处。第一,我不太会备课。我的备课还是在陈老师的帮助下完成的,可能也是自己没有这方面的经验,参考了陈老师的备课本,收获还是很大的。第二,我的说话声有点校第一次上课,面对这么多的学生,心里还是会有点紧张,说话声音小,导致学生听不清我在讲什么,这点是值得我深刻反思的。第三,课堂时间分配不均匀。备课时对教学时间安排不是很清楚,以至于教学任务没有完成,耽搁了进度。第四,每天在教室办公室和教室之间,虽然与同学交流比较多,但自己的记性太差,总是不记得他们的名字。实习的时间只有那么长,但作为学生来讲,被新来的实习老师记住名字是件很开心的事,我却满足不了学生的这点小小需求。

由于要备战考研,我把实习都集中在这十几天的时间里完成。虽然差不多每天都要去学校,一路奔波很辛苦,但我很开心。学校里的老师对我都很照顾,有什么不懂的地方向他们请教,老师们都很耐心跟我讲解。在与陈老师的教学交流中,我从她身上我学到了很多有用的教学经验。如果我以后走上教师这个岗位,相信我学到的经验会是一比很大的财富。在与学生们的相处过程中,我再一次感受到了初中时代的那份纯真,也勾起了我的回忆。虽然只是短短的十几天时间,我的学生们早就已经把我当成他们的老师了,每次听他们叫我“老师”,我的心里美滋滋的,很有满足感,也让我瞬间树立了为人师表的责任感和使命感,我很庆幸我的这次实习,是它让我对今后的职业生涯有了更好的规划,对生活的有了新的认识,同时还让我认识了很多可爱的学生和可敬的老师,它使我真正体会到了做一位老师的乐趣。
